Summer Reading Program

Our 2022 Summer Reading Program kicks off on Saturday, June 11, and runs through Saturday, July 23.


This Collaborative Summer Library Program is a statewide coordinated program that encourages all ages to continue to improve their reading skills during the months when school is not in session. This summer’s theme is Oceans of Possibilities! Join us for some great reading challenges and programs this summer!

Get involved in one of our THREE programs by registering on ReadSquared, our Summer Reading Program platform. 

  • In our Children's Summer Reading Program, registered children ages 0-12 can:
    • Join our reading challenges on ReadSquared. Read books to earn points and drop a ball in our ball drop! We even have a super-charged Shark-Mode category for our heavy readers!
    • Attend FREE, fun programs themed around Oceans of Possibilities!
    • Get a Free book and bag to carry your library books in!
  • In our Teen Summer Reading Program, registered teens ages 13-18 can:
    • Join our reading challenges on ReadSquared. Read books to enter a drawing for some great prizes!
    • Attend Free, fun programs!
    • Volunteer to help with programs or Reading Pals (Send and email here for more information)
  • In our Adult Summer Reading Program, registered adults ages 19+ can:
    • Join our reading challenges on ReadSquared. Read books to enter a drawing for some great prizes!
    • Attend Free, fun programs!
